Engineering Director, Vehicle Structures, Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems

Marianne is responsible for functional leadership for more than 350 employees within Structures Design, Structural Analysis, Liaison Engineering, Material & Process Engineering, Standards Engineering, and Engineering Tools groups for the Melbourne and St. Augustine, FL sites. 

Marianne joined Northrop Grumman in 1986 as a Liaison Machining Engineer in Bethpage, New York. Over her 36-year career she has held positions of increasing responsibility including: Bethpage Material Review Board Lead and Structural Design Section Manager, St. Augustine Liaison Engineering Section Manager and Department Manager for Structural Design, Liaison Engineering, Material & Process Engineering and Engineering Tools.

Marianne has a variety of aerospace industry experience including production support, supplier and shipside material review board, root cause and corrective action, up-front design support in the areas of machined part design and dimensional controls, technical leadership, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing instruction.

She has been an ASME standards development volunteer for more than 20 years on various subcommittees. Marianne currently chairs subcommittee Y14.5.2 responsible for examination development for the certification of Tolerancing Professionals and serves as a member and past vice chair of the subcommittee responsible for the development of the International Dimensioning and Tolerancing standard ASME Y14.5.  She is also a member of the ASME Y14 Steering Committee for all Engineering Drawing and Related Documentation Practices.

Marianne is currently a member of the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Industry Advisory Board. She is also on Board of Directors for the preservation of Green Gables, a historical site in Melbourne, Florida.

Marianne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic University of New York.
