Engineer

Veronica Perez Herrera

Ms. Veronica graduated from Florida Polytechnic University in May 2018 with a Mechanical Engineering degree.  In college, she was the Founding President of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) collegiate section.  She created an inclusive culture on campus that empowers and mentors female students.  The club focused on mentorship and also hosted several Lab Days at Florida Poly for low income students that encourage them to pursue a STEM degree.  Hundreds of students participated in STEM activities that were conducted by college students and industry professionals, such as Rockwell Automation and Turner Construction. Perez-Herrera's passion to help others has helped her “Create Something You Wish Existed”.  Veronica is an active SWE member and has been a speaker at various conferences in Florida.  She is currently working as an Engineer in Lakeland, Florida.
